Employee and Family Assistance

Trimac provides an Employee and Family Assistance Program to all full-time salaried and hourly employees as well as full time IC’s and IC Drivers in both Canada and the United States.

Free and confidential short term counseling services are available to you and your eligible dependents through Human Solutions.  You and your family may receive up to 12 hours of counseling per calendar year. 

Eligibility
Coverage begins on the first day of the month following date of full time hire or contract.  There is no cost to the employee or IC/IC Driver for this service; premiums are 100% company paid.  Please note: Independent Contractor's in the United States who were hired after July 1, 2007 are not eligible for this Benefit.

Covered Services
EFAP can help  with a variety of problems, including:

• emotional or physical problems
• marital and family problems
• stress and anxiety
• work-related problems
• pre-retirement planning
• financial and legal difficulties
• child and elder care
• sexual harassment or abuse
• alcohol or drug dependencies
• gambling
• bereavement

Emergency services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Human Solutions is required by law to maintain the strictest confidentiality.  Information is not given to or shared with anyone without the informed, voluntary and written consent of the individual.  Unless you tell them, no one at your workplace will know if you use the program.  There are circumstances where it is obligatory to report to the appropriate authorities if there is evidence of child abuse or where the individual poses an undue risk to themselves or others.
